Constitution of the Alumni Association of School of International Education and Cooperation of North Sichuan Medical College
Chapter I: Name
Article 1 The official name of this organization is the "Alumni Association of School of International Education and Cooperation of North Sichuan Medical College."
Chapter II: Purpose and Objectives
Article 2: Purpose
To carry forward the excellent traditions of North Sichuan Medical College, unite and connect alumni, strengthen ties among alumni and between alumni and the alma mater, foster friendship, enhance collaboration, and facilitate various exchange activities. The association aims to support alumni in innovating in their respective fields while actively contributing to the alma mater's development and the nation's progress.
Article 3: Objectives
1. Follow the guidance of the General Association of Alumni Affairs and support its initiatives.
2. Safeguard the legal rights of alumni, care about their lives and careers, and promote connections and collaboration among them.
3. Organize alumni networking activities to enhance the alma mater's cohesion and leverage alumni strength.
4. Promote the alma mater's achievements in construction and development to encourage alumni contributions.
5. Strengthen the exchange of alumni information, recognize and promote alumni achievements, compile directories, establish archives, and publish association documents.
6. Host activities and programs that benefit society, the alma mater, and alumni development.
Chapter III: Membership
Article 4: Individuals meeting the following criteria are recognized as alumni of North Sichuan Medical College:
International students who pursued undergraduate or master’s degrees at North Sichuan Medical College.
Article 5: Membership is voluntary and open to alumni who support this constitution and complete the registration process.
Article 6: Rights of Members
1. The right to vote and be elected.
2. The right to participate in activities and make suggestions.
3. Priority access to assistance and resources, including the association’s Directory.
4. Other rights stipulated in this constitution.
Article 7: Obligations of Members
1. Support this constitution and implement the association’s resolutions.
2. Participate in and support the association’s work and activities.
3. Uphold the alma mater’s reputation and support its development.
Chapter IV: Organizational Structure
Article 8: The General Assembly of Members is the highest authority, responsible for:
1. Formulating and amending the constitution.
2. Electing and dismissing council members.
3. Reviewing council work and financial reports.
4. Making decisions on major issues and dissolution.
Article 9: The General Assembly of Members is held once a year in principle. It requires the attendance of more than half of the members to convene, and resolutions must be passed by a majority vote of the members present to take effect.
Article 10: The council, elected by the General Assembly of Members, serves as the executive body, carrying out daily operations during the Assembly's recess and reporting directly to it.
Article 11: Responsibilities of the Council:
1. Representing the association externally.
2. Preparing for the General Assembly of Members.
3. Implementing the resolutions of the General Assembly of Members.
4. Reporting work and financial status to the General Assembly of Members.
5. Electing and dismissing the president, vice president, executive vice president, secretary-general, and advisors.
6. Deciding on the establishment of internal organizations and appointing or dismissing key personnel.
7. Establishing financial and internal management regulations and leading subordinate bodies in their work.
8. Deciding on other major matters.
Article 12: The council meets at least once a year and requires the attendance of two-thirds of council members to convene. Resolutions must be passed by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present. Under special circumstances, meetings may be conducted in written or virtual formats.
Article 13: The association may appoint 1-2 advisors.
Article 14: The association appoints one president and one vice president, who must be local alumni. The term of office is five years, renewable.
Article 15: The association appoints one secretary-general.
Article 16: The president, vice president, executive vice president, and secretary-general are elected by the council.
Chapter V: Supplementary Provisions
Article 17: This constitution shall take effect on the date of its approval by the General Assembly of the Alumni Association of School of International Education and Cooperation of North Sichuan Medical College.
Article 18: The Secretariat of the association holds the right to interpret this constitution.
