In order to comprehensively deploy and promote the teaching achievement cultivation project of the college, further promote the teaching reform and innovative development of the college, the first special meeting of university-level teaching achievement cultivation project of SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation) was successfully held on April 17, 2024 in the conference room on the 12th floor of the Library and Information Building. The conference was chaired by Xiao Fengling, Dean of SIEC, and attended by Zhou Yanhong and Liao Li from the Higher Education Research Office of the Academic Affairs Office, as well as all members of the project team.
At the beginning of the meeting, Zhou Yanhong gave a detailed introduction to the relevant requirements of the university's teaching achievement cultivation project. Subsequently, Associate Professor Yang Chunyun of the project team introduced the project cultivation work plan, team building plan, and promotion plan, and pointed out in detail the current shortcomings of the project: lack of monographs and high-quality paper support, and insufficient project promotion effectiveness. The attendees had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the implementation progress of the project and the current shortcomings.
Everyone agreed that project team members should fully utilize the international education resources of SIEC, participate in more "going out" meetings and exchanges, promote project achievements, and also learn to introduce advanced teaching concepts and methods, provide new ideas for the college's teaching reform, and publish high-quality articles on the effectiveness of teaching reform.
At the same time, project team members should work together, take the initiative to undertake tasks based on their own advantages, and advance the project progress on time and with high quality.
Finally, Xiao Fengling summarized the meeting and deployed the next steps of work. She emphasized that the entire school (SIEC) should attach great importance to the cultivation of teaching achievements, strengthen organizational leadership, clarify the division of responsibilities, and ensure the smooth implementation of the project and the expected results.
