In order to further improve the quality of clinical internship education and teaching of the MBBS (Clinical Medicine major for international students taught entirely in English) program, from May 25th to May 26th, 2023, Dean Xiao Fengling and Vice Dean Liu Shangqing of SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation) led a team to conduct in-depth exchanges with more than 20 departments in three hospital campuses, including the Clinical Medical College Affiliated Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital (Central Hospital), and the South Sichuan Mental Health Hospital affiliated with North Sichuan Medical College. Teachers from the academic affairs departments, and teaching secretaries from different departments, as well as internship supervisors, attended the symposium.

During the communication, on one hand, SIEC listened to reports on the attendance and performance of international students during their internships in various departments. On the other hand, both sides had in-depth discussions on how to improve the quality of clinical internship education and teaching of the MBBS program, focusing on topics such as internship supervision teams, departmental exams, and enhancing the quality of internships.

After discussion, everyone agreed that the MBBS program is an important part of the university's education, which not only enhances the international reputation of the university but also promotes the teaching ability of faculty members in various departments. They expressed their determination to strengthen the management of international students' internship education, build high-quality internship supervision teams, and contribute to the brand of "Study at North Sichuan Medical College".
