

In order to allow our international students to have a deeper understanding of Nanchong's intangible cultural heritage and promote cultural exchange and cooperation between China and foreign countries, the "Tasting Intangible Cultural Heritage and Stepping on the Silk Road" cultural investigation activity, which is part of the International Cultural Festival series organized by the SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation), was successfully held on November 12th.
In the morning, the first stop for the international students was the North Sichuan Puppet Theater in Nanchong. Tang Guoliang, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, led them to learn about the knowledge of North Sichuan puppet and understand the development process of North Sichuan puppet.
In the afternoon, the international students came to the Jialing District Silk Museum and visited the silk production and operation workshop as well as the Silk Museum under the leadership of the person in charge of the Silk Museum. The museum is mainly divided into six functional exhibition areas: collection, inheritance, education, commemoration, tourism, and leisure.
The cultural investigation activity of "Tasting Intangible Cultural Heritage and Stepping on the Silk Road" as one of the activities of the International Cultural Festival, the successful holding of which made the international students understand the history of Nanchong silk culture and the splendor of North Sichuan puppet.
"This investigation activity has given me a deeper understanding of Chinese silk culture, and also made me more in love with China," said one international student.
