On the morning of November 8, 2022, Du Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of NSMC (North Sichuan Medical College), led the mid-term teaching inspection team to inspect the mid-term teaching work of the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year of the SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation). This inspection mainly includes daily management, MBBS project certification, preparation for returning of overseas students, etc. Xiao Fengling, Dean of SIEC, led the teachers of the Academic Affairs Department, the Student Department and the Teaching and Research Section of Chinese as a Foreign Language to accept the inspection.

Xiao Fengling introduced the teaching of foreign students' education, and the daily management of students. She reported the preparatory work for the promotion of MBBS project certification, and put forward the problems and difficulties encountered in the work of returning to university. The experts of the inspection team made detailed inquiries about the SIEC running goals and positioning of foreign students, curriculum construction team, experimental teaching, quality monitoring, MBBS project certification, and the returning of foreign students from the university level and the SIEC level, and put forward suggestions and solutions to the problems found.

In his summary, Du Yong fully affirmed the operation of education and teaching, student management and Chinese language teaching in SIEC, and put forward valuable suggestions and opinions on improving the teaching quality of foreign students, student management and other work.

He stressed that since the outbreak of the COVID-19, overseas students were allowed to return to school with conditions for the first time. There were many departments involved and the task was arduous. Under the condition of strict compliance with the national and entry city epidemic prevention and control policies, the university would provide assistance within its capacity for overseas students to return to China.
