To promote cross-cultural exchange on medical ethics and celebrate the spirit of professionalism in medicine, the School of International Education Exchange held a successful Chinese and International Medical Ethics Cultural Exchange and Sharing Meeting on the evening of November 1, 2024, in Room 1204 of the Library Building.
During this event, Chinese student representatives Chen Junjie, Zong Kewei, and Lan Ruomu provided an insightful overview of the origins and evolution of ancient Chinese medical ethics, transitioning to modern-day doctor-patient relationships. Through specific case studies, they demonstrated a deep understanding and analytical skill in medical ethics culture. International student representatives Mu Sihan, Modan, and Nafi enriched the event with vivid stories and perspectives on medical ethics, adding a multicultural dimension to the discussion. This exchange showcased both Chinese and international students’ profound understanding of medical ethics and highlighted their unique perspectives in cross-cultural communication.
“A true healer strives to save lives as a virtue and to cure ailments as an act of kindness.” Through this cultural exchange, students deeply grasped the sacred mission and noble ethical principles of healing and saving lives. May they carry forward the spirit of “serving society through medicine”, contributing their own strength to the advancement of global healthcare!
