On October 14, the Nanchong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, North Sichuan Medical College, China West Normal University, and Nanchong Vocational and Technical College jointly organized the “Experience Nanchong · Feel the Pulse of Development” themed activity. Ten international students from the university visited four key sites in sequence, immersing themselves in Nanchong’s vibrant development—from industrial innovation to cultural heritage.
In the morning, the international students visited Geely Sichuan Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. They toured the intelligent production workshop, observing the core manufacturing processes of new energy commercial vehicles firsthand, taking detailed notes and praising Nanchong’s advancements in the new energy sector. Afterward, the students visited Sichuan Tujiu Liquor Industry Co., Ltd., where they systematically learned about the historical origins and cultural significance of Nanchong baijiu through the company museum and observed traditional brewing techniques in the workshop, personally experiencing the unique charm of “ancient brewing methods” and Nanchong’s rich liquor culture. In the afternoon, the students visited CBVAC Technology Co., Ltd. In the exhibition hall, they learned about the practical applications of the company’s high-end products through rich displays and professional demonstration videos; they then visited the production line to observe the precision machining and assembly of core components, expressing deep admiration for Nanchong’s technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrades in high-end manufacturing. Finally, the students visited the Nanchong Museum, systematically exploring the local historical and cultural context along the “Song of Jialing” exhibition area. They participated hands-on in shadow puppet assembly, experiencing the charm of intangible cultural heritage through immersive interaction and gaining a close-up appreciation of Nanchong’s cultural accumulation and inheritance.
This “Experience Nanchong · Feel the Pulse of Development” themed activity provided international students with a more intuitive understanding of Nanchong’s industrial development layout and technological innovation practices, while also deepening their appreciation of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and regional culture. In the future, the university will continue to organize and support various China-foreign cultural exchange programs, providing more international students with platforms to deeply understand modern China and promote friendly cooperation between China and other countries.
