Chapter One General Provision

These rules are jointly made by School of International Education and Cooperation and Student Apartment Management Center with a view to preventing fire accidents and protecting the safety of life and property in the dormitory in accordance with the Fire Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws as well as regulations of North Sichuan Medical College.

Chapter Two Violations of Fire Prevention Law and Regulations

In accordance with the measures for fire safety management, violations of fire safety include:

1.Intentional damage and unauthorized movement of fire-fighting equipment;

2. The occupancy and stacking of articles affecting the smooth passage of the evacuation channel;

3. The storage and use of inflammable, explosive, corrosive substance and other dangerous goods, illegal electrical appliances, open fire, installing wire without permission, and embezzlement of public electricity;

4. The following illegal electrical appliances: (1) Water heater, electric stove, electric blanket; (2) Electric cooker, electric kettle, rice cooker, induction cooker (which can only be used in the public kitchen, if it is stored and used in your own room, you violate the safety regulations); (3) The electrical appliances exceeding 300W (AC is excluded); (4) The electric socket without national 3C certification (3C—China Compulsory Product Certification);

5. Installing wire without permission: (1) All extension lines leading from the public places or fixed outlet of one’s own room; (2) All extension lines leading from one’s own room to outside.

Chapter Three Punishment

Violations of the rules and regulations will be punished. The violator(s) shall bear the liability for compensation if there are any losses.

1.Students who violate the Fire Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws as well as regulations of North Sichuan Medical College and cause serious consequence will be given corresponding punishment and rustication from North Sichuan Medical College.

2. Those who harbor banned electrical appliances or inflammable and explosive materials shall be given a warning.

3. Those who use banned electrical appliances or inflammable and explosive128materials shall be given a serious warning or more serious punishment.

4. Those who cause fire by using banned electrical appliances or inflammable and explosive materials shall be given a demerit or more serious punishment and compensate for the loss.

5. Damage or freely move public electric appliances and sockets in public kitchen will be given a warning.

6. Unauthorized movement of or use of fire-fighting equipment will be given a warning.

7. Installing wire without permission, after criticism, there is no repentance, will be given a warning.

Chapter Four Supplementary Articles

1.The aforementioned rules come into force upon promulgation.

2. These rules are explained by the Student Apartment Management Committee.
