On May 14th, 2023, our school's Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and Chinese Proficiency Oral Test (HSKK) were successfully held in the fourth computer laboratory on the sixth floor of the Library and Information Building. This was the first test hosted by our school since being officially awarded as a Chinese exam center. 25 international students from India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and other countries participated in the HSK Level 4 and HSKK Intermediate exams. The test was supervised by Xiao Fengling，Dean of the SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation).
During the preparation stage of the exam, Duan Shaoqi, the contact person of our school's HSK exam center, applied for the exam according to the requirements of Hanban International and carried out publicity work. She provided pre-exam training to designated exam management personnel, coordinated with relevant technical personnel from the Mathematics Teaching and Research Office to set up the online exam system, and organized all candidates to participate in mock exams, eliminating technical issues one by one. This provided strong support to ensure the smooth implementation of the first exam.
During the exam period, the examination staff strictly followed the management method for examination work, with clear division of labor and serious fulfillment of responsibilities. The examination room was well-organized and orderly, ensuring the successful completion of this exam.
The establishment of our school's HSK examination center and the smooth launch of the examination work will provide convenience for international students and other foreign personnel from the Northeast Sichuan region of our province to participate in the HSK examination, and promote the development of our school's Chinese language education to a higher level. In the future, our school will continue to adhere to the concept of "highly valued, conscientious organization, and active service", regularly carry out HSK exams, and strive to build our school's HSK exam brand.
