On October 17, 2023, in order to help fresh international students to adapt to Chinese university life as soon as possible and promote cross-cultural exchange, SIEC (School of International Education Cooperation) held a "Happy Campus Tour" event for 2023 level international students to experience Chinese intangible cultural heritage culture.

In this cultural exchange activity, the international students visited and got familiar with the campus of North Sichuan Medical College under the guidance of Chinese students. Then the students experienced the Chinese intangible cultural heritage of bamboo weaving and pottery. They learned about the history and skills of bamboo weaving in Nanchong Gaoping Bamboo Weaving Skills intangible heritage training Hall. Later, they tried bamboo weaving themselves and participated in the production of various ornaments and small crafts, showing their interest and enthusiasm for traditional Chinese crafts. In addition to bamboo weaving, the students also went to the ceramic workshop in Nanchong to learn the process of pottery production. They experimented with mud mixing, sculpting on pottery wheels and detailed painting to create unique ceramic artworks. The experience not only deepened their understanding of Chinese ceramics, but also stimulated their keen interest in art.

Through this freshman cultural exchange activity, it not only promotes the freshmen to adapt to the college life in North Sichuan Medical College as soon as possible, but also enriches their understanding of Chinese intangible cultural heritage, and looks forward to them starting their new study and cultural life in Nanchong, China.
