On November 17, the School of International Education and Cooperation successfully held the 2024 Badminton Championship for International Students at the indoor stadium on the Gaoping Campus. The event attracted the enthusiastic participation of over 120 international students.

The championship featured five events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Through this diverse sports activity, the event aimed to encourage students to stay active, enhance their physical fitness, and foster a sense of community. Throughout the one-day competition, participants displayed remarkable athletic skills and a spirit of determination. Particularly in the doubles events, players from different cultural backgrounds collaborated closely, improving their teamwork while promoting mutual understanding and respect.

By organizing such sporting events, the college not only helps international students improve their physical health but also alleviates academic and psychological stress, while enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills. Moving forward, the School of International Education and Cooperation will remain committed to hosting more activities that contribute to the holistic development of international students, ensuring their well-being and helping them adapt to studying and living in China.
