At 9:00 PM on March 3, the School of International Education and Cooperation at North Sichuan Medical College (NSMC) officially launched the first Chinese Language Tutoring Session for International Students in 2025 in Room 1204 of the Library Building. The session attracted 67 newly enrolled international students from the Class of 2024. Aiming to strengthen their Chinese language foundation and enhance real-life application skills, the tutoring program is designed to help international students improve their overall Chinese proficiency and better adapt to academic and daily life in China.

The first session focused on Chinese vocabulary training, aligning closely with the practical needs of international students. It started with fundamental pronunciation correction and vocabulary explanation before expanding into contextualized word usage. Through diverse teaching methods such as pronunciation drills, group dialogues, and situational sentence construction, students engaged in an interactive and relaxed learning environment, reinforcing their language skills and consolidating their Chinese knowledge base.

This session marks the beginning of NSMC’s 2025 Chinese tutoring program. By integrating “teaching + tutoring + cultural experience”, the program aims to enhance students’ pronunciation accuracy, reading comprehension, and practical application of Chinese. Additionally, the School of International Education and Cooperation is fostering a peer-learning platform between Chinese and international students and will introduce more tailored training sessions and cultural activities. These initiatives will provide comprehensive language support and cultural immersion opportunities, ensuring a smoother and more enriching experience for international students studying in China.
