On the afternoon of June 25, 2024, NSMC (North Sichuan Medical College) held the graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony for international students in Room 407 of the Book and Information Building. Du Yong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and President of NSMC, Xiao Fengling, Dean of School of International Education and Cooperation(SIEC), Liu Shangqing, Vice Dean of SIEC, Yang Xiaohong, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, representatives of teachers from the Affiliated Hospital and Central Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, representatives of teachers from the School of Basic Medicine and Forensic Medicine, representatives of Chinese language teachers, all teachers from the School of International Education Exchange, all graduates studying in China, and some parents of students attended the graduation ceremony.
The ceremony kicked off in the school anthem, and Xiao Fengling, the Dean of SIEC, read out the decision of NSMC to award bachelor's degrees to 163 international students, including STEPHEN RACHAEL CHELSIA. The graduate representative HUSSAN AADILA (Anlei) from batch 2018 expressed gratitude to their alma mater and teachers in their graduation speech, and at the same time, they will move towards the next stage with enthusiasm and courage.
Subsequently, Principal Du Yong allocated a position for the graduating international students and, on behalf of all the faculty and staff of NSMC, extended the warmest congratulations to the international graduates who are about to leave the school and continue pursuing their careers! He said, " NSMC will always be your reliable support." He hoped that graduates can bring the spirit of "dedication, love, seeking truth, and innovation" of NSMC and the knowledge learned here to help people around the world cure diseases and protect human life and health. Dr.Kamlesh, the representative of parents of international students thanked NSMC for its contributions in cultivating young doctors and improving human medical health in his speech, and looked forward to more doctors from here serving the world in the future. Finally, the graduation ceremony was successfully concluded with Liu Shangqing, Vice Dean of SIEC, leading the graduates to recite the oath of the new doctor.
At this point, a total of 163 international students from 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 who came to China from NSMC have successfully graduated. We wish all students a bright future and smooth sailing.
