On June 29, 2023, Director Xiao Fengling and Vice Director Liu Shangqing of SIEC (the School of International Education and Coopeartion) conducted special party lectures titled "Embrace the Thematic Education General Requirements, Stay Dedicated to Our Positions, and Continuously Engage in Self-Reflection" and "Remembering Our Initial Aspirations and Missions, and Striving Diligently Forward". The lectures took place in the conference room on the 12th floor of the Library and Information Building, and were attended by all faculty and staff members of SIEC.

Xiao Fengling elaborated profoundly on the connotation and significance of "Cultivate Thinking, Strengthen Party Spirit, Emphasize Practice, and Make New Contributions". She emphasized the importance for both leaders and ordinary members to ground themselves in their practical roles, work diligently, prioritize professional spirit, and continuously engage in self-reflection and self-improvement.

In his report, Liu Shangqing emphasized the need to never forget the original aspiration and mission of the Party. He emphasized the responsibility and ideal beliefs that Communist Party members should uphold.
